Jennifer Wood is able to listen (a thing that many humans forgot long ago how to do), to be receptive and I know that she is connected somehow to the Divine. She feels the mysteries that take place with her sisters and she knows how to put all of this into her giant canvases. She and the Great Mother are one being on the canvas.
In our day and age the world seems to die a very slow death but in the same time there are signs that it will reborn in a beautiful child. A new age is coming and all the words in our libraries and science won’t tell us what to do. The Sacred Feminine though is here with us and she is whispering to her children how to midwife her rebirth. She can speak to each and every one of us but most choose to be deaf. Jennifer Wood is one of the few holy women that not only receives her messages but also puts them in images on the canvas.
I’ve noticed the art of Jennifer Wood a couple of years ago and it struck me how much of the feminine aspect is represented in her art. I could actually say without regretting that her paintings are manifesting the pure matrix of creation. Now,every single woman knows it in her cells and in the archetypal unconscious that she is the one that participates in the greatest mystery of bringing a new body, filled with a sacred soul, to life.
We humans used to be well connected to the Sacred Feminine and the ancient Priestesses of the temples were helping in bringing down this wisdom. Now days, in this patriarchal order, women usually do not know how beautiful and important they are, how they are the only ones that can fill these empty shells. Without the Divine Feminine the material Earth remains a wasteland filled with creepy ordered structures and human hierarchies.
“We will discover that there are changes happening in the depths of creation of which we are a part, and that the pollution and pain we have caused are part of a cycle of life that involves its own apparent destruction. We are not isolated, even in our mistakes.
We are part of the whole of creation even as we have denied the whole. In our hubris we have separated ourselves from life, and yet we can never be separate. That is just an illusion of masculine thinking. There is no such thing as separation. It is just a myth created by the ego.”
(The Myth of the Goddess-Evolution of an Image)
Jennifer Wood is telling us through her art that we are being reborn as a complete whole and Woman is no longer separated from Man. A new age is coming,an age where the Divine is a reality not a mere metaphor and our souls are sensing this change.
